Barn Dance & Potluck Supper #4 on August 28th!
Come join us for our 4th monthly barn dance on Saturday, August 28th from 6-11pm. Potluck supper is from 6-8pm – bring your favorite appetizer, main dish or dessert and we’ll provide the lemonade, iced tea and eating utensils. Marlin and Dulcy will give a short lesson on two-step swing dancing at 7:30pm and from there country-western dancing from 8-11pm with Rodney McGowen on the DJ board. It’s a great time for the whole family!
Huge appreciation to Matt Kauffman and Jenny Hines who’ve been making the back warehouse sparkle (as much as an old historic barn can sparkle that is…) and to Rodney for continuing to be the music man extraordinaire! Should be a fun time for all!
Routt County Fair!
It’s Fairtime in Routt County and Hayden is thrilled to host the 97th Routt County Fair. We highly recommend checking out the exhibits and livestock this week and definitely come join the 4H BBQ at 3pm on Saturday, August 21st followed by the Junior Livestock Sale at 5pm.

Millie and Liam (Tammie too!) kicked off Fair week with the Routt County Fair Open Horse Show on Friday night with Max and Dusty trotting off with respective English Reserve Champions each. From there it was two days of western showing followed by the 4H Horse Shows on Monday and Tuesday. Millie & Izze had a ball with the 4H dog show on Monday (although Izze may have done better with the horse jumping events). Kids from all over Routt County weighed in their livestock on Wednesday, & Pigs showed on Wednesday evening. Thursday brings the Lamb shows and Friday the Steer shows. Liam and Millie will both be very busy with their respective lamb and steer projects!
Yampa Valley Feeds is ready to help all the participants through Fair with Show Supplies, Wood Shavings, Hay and even gift items for weary Fair Moms. Swing by for a break from the events.
AND, if the Fair excitement isn’t enough, come join us for our 4th monthly barn dance on Saturday, August 28th from 6-11pm. Potluck supper is from 6-8 with dancing from 8-11pm. It’s a great time for the whole family!
